Elmstead Parish Council is a local authority that makes decisions on behalf of the people in the village and as such plays a vital part in the community. Your local council is the first stop for concerns and ideas to improve your village​​​​​​ as a place to live, work and play. We will help by escalating issues to the authorities up the line, being Tendring District Council and Essex County Council.

• The Parish Council meets on the first Thursday of every month at 7.00pm in the Community Centre. All are welcome to attend. However, the August meeting will be held on the 17th August. 
• The Planning Committee meets as necessary.
• The New Community Centre Committee meets as necessary on the second Thursday of the month at 7.00pm.
